Where Champions are Made

Slippery Rock University hosted the Special Olympics on Sunday October 5th, 2014.  Sports included soccer, volleyball, powerlifting, long-distance run/walk, and bocce.  The Special Olympics provides year-round training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.  The opening ceremony began at 9:00 am with help from the community, volunteers, and Slippery Rock students and athletes.
